Starcross has a rail station, regular bus service (Exeter, Newton Abbot, Torquay etc) and also a passenger ferry to Exmouth. Also very close to cycle path running along the estuary to Exeter. The nearest sandy beach Dawlish Warren is 2.5 miles away.
